What the Landslide...

I decided to redecorate my family room. I wanted to refinish the wood floor and I thought I might as well kill two birds with one stone by doing the front room as well. Folks, our house is just not that big, but I managed to store the stuff in different creative ways. Part of my sewing room will be devoted to short term storage and...

the other half will serve as a Webinar studio. I plan on teaching Greek and Latin roots from my house. Here is the "set". This space will also double as my office. I've hooked up my printer to my laptop and I have wireless internet available.

 Good thing Helmut isn't home...

This is the dining room without the "dining" part.

Nothing has really spilled over into the kitchen yet (notice my fish tank).

I envisioned something light and relaxing. The wall color is absolutely perfect, just as I had imagined it. The fireplace is going to be terra cotta. The mantel will be creamy white.

I sanded and varnished the door. 3 coats later, it looks fantastic. Then I painted the ceiling with two coats of flat white. It looks really good so far.

I had to think of a creative way to clear out the front room without disturbing the internet connection. This is what I came up with, I thought it was rather clever. Notice nothing is touching the floor and we are ready for the sander.
(Tony referred to it as Spiderman's office).

I think Regen is enjoying the empty room! Stay tuned for the finished product.
