Getting Ready for Levi's First Birthday

When I returned home from Portland/Arizona, I gave Levi his puppet from Genesis (see previous post). It was so cute. She put a pink heart on the back that you could see through to the front of the puppet.

He began taking it apart immediately.

 That's one eye....
Hmmm, done for now. I'll set it here.

Off I go!

Today is my birthday! (February 15th)

Tony stopped by to lend his expertise.

Ok, so we're not getting a lot done but notice the balloons in the background.

Portland, January 2013

On my way to Portland, Oregon.

Wow!

After dropping off the suitcases. Getting ready for a walk.

Renee is finishing a shelf for her kitchen.

Olive offers her expertise.

One more coat of varnish...

It looks great, Renee!

Walking around Portland. Olive leading the way.

My next stop was Arizona where I was working at one of the local charter schools. I stayed with a wonderful family who adopted two super cute kids. Pictured here is Genesis who made this little puppet for my grandson, Levi.
So Cute!

My Birthday

Today is my birthday (January 5th)! Carla invited me over to celebrate.

I found a ton of cards and gifts waiting for me.

Levi is very good at opening presents.

 Very good....

He read all of my cards.

 Absolutely love this sweater!

 Uh, camera please!

Levi and Carla treated me to a Birthday lunch. We went to a sports bar by the mall. They had great food.

 My first lemon...fish lips!

The next day the family got together to celebrate my dad's birthday along with mine. He is a strapping 91!
Me? 55 and proud.

 Grampa's turn.

 Awww..

My mom makes the best lemon meringue pie.
 Presents!

Levi's first lemon pie. He had a slight allergic reaction shortly after; nothing a little Benedryl couldn't fix.

Grampa opening presents. He was so happy.

My turn. Here is a package I received from Renee, Brian, and Olive in Portland.

I'm super excited about the gift cards. I'm having foot surgery next month and when my feet are healed....shopping!

Renee and I share a love for sewing. This is some amazing iron-on tape I haven't tried yet. Can't wait.

 What up?

 Hmmmm, now we're talking.

Keurig K-cups from Tony and Paul, sweet!

Thanks everyone for a perfect birthday.
