Tony's room is my current painting project. As you can see, it needed a lot of spackle.
The color was really dark and over Christmas it ended up becoming a dumping ground for everything. You can see the crib is waiting for a bright, new room.
I decided to start with the closets. I chose white as a neutral color.
The built in shelves simply multiplied the work. I ended up with 3 coats on the edging.
The ceiling is also white. It will really brighten up the room.
The second coat of white in the closets is done.
so is the ceiling...
On to the walls. As with Paul's room, two of the walls are going to be yellow. I had Home Depot color match the bedspread I bought. This is one coat.
As I worked around the room, the old, dark gray proved to be a challenge to cover.
Glad those closets are done.
Hard to see in this picture, but the last two walls are a very light orange. I think it looks great with the yellow. You can see how hard it is to cover the gray.
The first coat of orange is now complete. Tomorrow I will be finishing the final coats and the edging.
Oh cute! It's soooo bright!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I just love it. The yellow and orange look great together. What a change from the old color.
