My Amazing Birthday, Part 2!

Carla hosted my birthday party with the family. She wanted to show us the nursery. Here is the outfit the baby will wear home. Carla used an iron-on patch from Portland on one of her onsies.

Great-gramma and grampa are admiring the room. This is the first time they are seeing the finished product.

Gramma asked where the baby was...Carla is showing her.

Great-grampa wanted to see all of the stuff in the drawer.

Gramma and Helmut are waiting for pizza.

 We gathered around the telly...

I was so happy Paul could make it too. He combined the visit with doing his laundry...

 ...and watching TV.

The pizza and bread were delicious.

This was taken one millisecond before Paul almost fell over in his chair. Super fun.

Grampa and I discussing birthday wishes.

It's time to open the presents. Gramma insisted I read the card.

Gramma and grampa gave me my favorite perfume, Moonlight Path, from Bath and Body Works.

Paul and Helmut taking it all in.

I also received a cinnamon scented candle. I like to burn them when I tutor.

Carla and Mike gave me a wonderful set of glass Pyrex dishes with lids. I'm really excited about them. I've been wanting them for a long time.

I loved Helmut's gift also. I opened some beautiful clothes. He's really good at shopping for all of the things I wanted.

I had to watch so Grampa didn't take my new argyle socks. They matched his vest perfectly.

 Twizzlers and chocolate....yes!

Now for the Paul/Portland (Renee, Brian, Olive) gift.

A fantastic new carry-on bag. I'm so excited. I've wanted one with swivel wheels and the color is amazing. I'm anxious to use it when I travel to Portland on the 19th of this month.

No birthday would be complete without a song. A perfect rendition of "Happy Birthday". Thank-you to everyone for making my birthday a day to remember.
